- Crochet Thread Size 3 or 5 (26 wraps per inch)
- Crocheot Hook 2.25 mm (US B1, UK 13) or similar t obtain the gauge
- Darning needle
Gauge: 30 chains in 10 cm (4 inches)
Crochet flower size – 3 cm (1.2 inches)
How Do You Crochet Barefoot Sandals With Flowers
You will need 12 crochet flowers (6 for each sandal) and crochet ankle chain.

Start with adjustable ring.
- 6 sc in the adjustable ring (6 st)
- ch 1, *2 sc in the same st * repeat from * 5 more times, sl st to join the round (12 st)
*ch 2, hdc in the same st, hdc in the next, ch 2, sl st in the same st, sl st in the next st* repeat from * 5 more times (24 stitches make 6 petals). Fasten off. Weave ends.

Crochet Flower Chart Pattern
Crochet Ankle Chain
Start with 38 chain stitches (12 cm – 4.7 inches). Join in the round. Continue crochet 14 chains more (5 cm – 2 inches). Fasten off.
This would be a ring around the toe.
Chain 150 (52 cm – 20 inches), start elastic crochet chain (18 cm – 7 inches), continue 150 chains more.
This is a long ankle chain part.
Attaching both pieces together. There are 2 ways.
While crocheting the ankle chain, in the middle of the elastic chain attach a smaller piece on the go (you can see it in the video).
Or attach it after the ankle piece is done.
Sew flowers on. 6 flowers to each barefoot sandal. Try to sew them properly (see the image below). This way flowers will not curl even after washing (especially when we are on the beach!).
