Crochet snowflakes are simple and multifunctional idea. They can be white or multicolored. It all depends on your taste.
This crochet snowflake pattern makes about 4 inches (10 cm) wide, but if you want smaller ones, just decrease the size of your hook and yarn weight!
We can use them as:
- Christmas tree toys;
- festive coasters for cups and glasses;
- Christmas keychains;
- stickers for simple jars-bottles;
- decorative elements of New Year gifts and postcards;
- patches on sweaters, hats, scarves.
Materials.
You can use any yarn and hook size. I write what I used.
- Crochet Cotton Thread Size 3 or 5 (26 wraps per inch)
- Crochet Hook 2.25 mm (US B1, UK 13)
Transparent polyester thread (to hang crochet snowflake on the Christmas tree)
Fabric stiffener (optional). You might get away without it if your stitches will be tight.
Size of snowflake will depend on the crochet hook size and yarn.
You can see that in the main post image. Pattern is the same, just a different hook and yarn weight.This easy crochet snowflake pattern is written in US, but I include UK conversion
