Step-by-Step Crochet Star Tutorial

Skill Level: Beginner

Time Required: 5-7 minutes

Ready Size: approx. 7cm (2.8 inches)

US Terms: Chain – ch, stitch/-es – st/sts, slip stitch – sl st, single crochet – sc, half double crochet – hdc, double crochet – dc, treble (triple) crochet – tr.

Round 1. 16 dc in the magic ring. You can start with ch-3 and this will count as the first double crochet. Sl st in the top-3 chain to finish the round. You can tighten the center slightly.

Round 2. *Ch 7, skip 2 ch, sl st in the 3rd, sc in the 4th, hdc in the 5th, dc in the 6th and tr in the 7th ch. Skip 2 sts, sl st in the 3rd*

Repeat 4 more times (5 star points in total). Tighten the center. Fasten off, weave in ends.
