How to attach the strap to crochet bag

Create Loops For The Strap

First, we need to create loops for the strap. I am using Romanian cord for this purpose. Crochet two pieces of the cord approximately 5 cm long. Attach to both sides of the bag. Sew ends together.

At this stage bag is ready for lining and attaching a zipper.

Attach The Strap

At this stage you can attach any strap – you can buy or make your own. I am making my Romanian cord crochet strap. I am making 2 meters long strap because I will fold it in half and attach to the bag loops. Sew both ends.
