Crochet circle in the spiral pattern
First, the circle starts with a Magic Ring. Use a yarn of your choice.
Second, here is a video where I show you how to make Magic Ring and start the first 2 rows of a circle.
1. Round: 10 SC into Magic Ring. (10 stitches)
2: [2 SC into each stitch]. Repeat from […] till the end of the round. (20 stitches)
3: [1 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] till the end of the round. (30 stitches)
4: 1SC, 2 SC into next stitch, [2 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] 9 times, 1SC. (40 stitches)
5: [3 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] till the end of the row. (50 stitches)
6: 2SC, 2 SC into next stitch, [4 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] 9 times, 2SC. (60 stitches)
7: [5 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] till the end of the row. (70 stitches)
8: 3SC, 2 SC into next stitch, [6 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] 9 times, 3SC. (80 stitches)
9: [7 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] till the end of the row. (90 stitches)
10: 4SC, 2 SC into next stitch, [8 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] 9 times, 4SC. (100 stitches)
11: [9 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] till the end of the row. (110 stitches)
12: 5SC, 2 SC into next stitch, [10 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] 9 times, 5SC. (120 stitches)
13: [11 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] till the end of the row. (130 stitches)
14: 6SC, 2 SC into next stitch, [12 SC, 2 SC into next stitch]. Repeat from […] 9 times, 6SC. (140 stitches)
Last 3 rows are the same
15. Round: [1 SC into each stitch]. Repeat from […] till the end of the round. (140 stitches)
16: [1 SC into each stitch]. Repeat from […] till the end of the round. (140 stitches)
17: [1 SC into each stitch]. Repeat from […] till the end of the round. (140 stitches)
Note! Red dots show where the row starts. Continue crochet next row. After 7-8 rows, you will notice the circle will take sphere shape and that is ok. It happens because of crochet with cord and stitch height is taller than simple SC (Single Crochet). Here, it suits our purpose. For the small bag, you will need to make 2 circles in the spiral.
After you finish both circles, cut the cord, leaving approximately 2 cm. Cut the working yarn leaving approximately 40cm (16inch) long yarn tail for sewing both circles.
Finally, you are ready to combine your bag together. Read PART II of the tutorial to create a perfect bag!
